Text: 1 Samuel 28:1-25
Be patient and obedient, never rush to exalt yourself. Most importantly, never allow
fear to cause you to be impulsive. (1 Samuel 13:7-10)
obedience is better than sacrifice, and to hearken or listen is better than any reward. (1 Samuel 15:22)
There is no counsel against God. (1 Samuel 28: ; Proverbs 21:30)
King Saul, at the close of his reign began to seek counsel from other resources, such as a medium.
Mediums are witches. A medium is a person supposedly used as a spiritual intermediary between the dead and the living. This practice is also called witchcraft. Christians should not use or depend upon witchcraft. The Bible's implication states that witchcraft is an act of rebellion against God. (1 Samuel 15:23; Acts 17:11)

(1 Sam. 15:23; 2 Kings 9:22; 2 Chr. 33:6; Micah 5:12; Nahum 3:4; Gal. 5:20). In the popular sense of the word no mention is made either of witches or of witchcraft in Scripture. The "witch of En-dor" (1 Sam. 28) was a necromancer, i.e., one who feigned to hold converse with the dead. The damsel with "a spirit of divination" (Acts 16:16) was possessed by an evil spirit, or, as the words are literally rendered, "having a spirit, a pithon." The reference is to the heathen god Apollo, who was regarded as the god of prophecy.

PRAYERS OF THE RIGHTEOUS-James 5:16
Hello. my name is Min. Joshua Paul Rose,
We all have times in our lives when we need prayer. People are often offended by hard times and then the need for prayer is in demand. During hard times it is most important that we should remember that Jesus said, "Offences will come." For example, in Matthew 18:7 (King James Version) Jesus said, "Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!"
We all have experienced different kinds of "woes" or trouble.
This kind of affliction may break someone's heart. Jesus' Ministry of healing includes brokenhearted individuals . In Luke 4:18 (King James Version) Jesus stated, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty to them that are bruised."
I agree with the Apostle Paul when he said "Pray for all men". For example, in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 Paul stated, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;"
Paul also stated but implied that both men and women should pray everywhere. This Pauline statement is found in 1 Timothy 2:8 where it says, "I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."
I believe NOW is the time to pray!

ReplyDeleteIt is official! God is speeding things up in these last days! I hope you are ready for His return! Here is a time to really think about what is your life all about! For those of you who need to be in ministry start now! We have all of these technological mediums that gives a voice to all people! Why not people of God! There is no excuse! I challenge you to start your ministry God has placed in your heart today! Some of you are enslaved by industry. The Lord told me about that he saved, "Industry enslaves, but ministry makes you free to live for a giving not just a living." To many of us are in survival mode and we are not thriving like we should or the way God intended! Get out of industry and get into ministry! God bless you! -J.Rose
